Light Meter App for iPhone & iPad
Film camera exposure meter for manual lenses.
The EV meter app, built for iOS.
Features
No subscriptions. No ads. Just a reliable tool that works every time you raise your camera.
Switch between Average, Center-Weighted, and Spot metering in one tap. In Spot mode, simply tap anywhere on the screen to meter exactly where you need — no guesswork, just the data you need to make the right exposure decision.
In Spot mode, tap any point on the live view to meter precisely at that exact location. No matter how complex the light, you can isolate the reading for the subject that matters — total control, one tap.
The built-in slide rule shows aperture and shutter speed combinations side by side — all equivalent exposures for the current EV, so you can find the right settings in seconds and pick the one that suits your creative intent.
Dial in exposure compensation in precise 0.1 EV steps with an intuitive slider. Set the focal length of your lens and Exposir shows the minimum safe shutter speed to prevent camera shake — essential when shooting with manual lenses that carry no EXIF data.
Lock the screen and take your time — compose your shot and consider your exposure without rushing. Exposir acts as a second viewfinder, giving you the freedom to think before you shoot. The red lock icon keeps you in control.
Planning a long exposure? Exposir calculates the correct shutter speed for any ND filter from ND2 to ND1000, then counts down with a built-in timer — complete with pause, resume, and a notification when your exposure is done.
Add Exposir to your Home Screen or Lock Screen with the built-in widget. Launch the app instantly, right when the light catches your eye — no searching, no delays, just tap and shoot.
Make Exposir your own. Adjust EV compensation steps, choose background and live-frame colours, and colour-code aperture and shutter speed values — so the UI works exactly the way you think.
